In the wide-skied arable lands of Holderness, down a tree-lined lane, lies Great Newsome Brewery, here you will find beers for all seasons and all-year drinking.

We don’t try to reinvent the wheel. We keep it simple, using superb natural ingredients to make beer that you can sit back and enjoy, without even thinking about it.

Which in our opinion is the sign of a very good pint indeed. It’s traditional craft beer with a modern twist.

Visiting our shop, you’ll be sure of a tail wagging welcome from our English Springer Spaniels, descendants of the late Jem, our mascot who is fondly remembered on bottle labels and draft beer bar tags. Jem was with us when we started out in 2007 after research showing strong demand for classic British beers.

Growing our own malting barley gave us a good start and we have since developed special strains of yeast as well as experimenting with homegrown hops, although they are difficult this far north.
