Wrexham Brewery
Nestling in the misty, mineral-rich hills and soft, rolling countryside. The industrial capital of North Wales built around agriculture and mining and brewing. Home of Wrexham Lager – a milestone in the history of the British brewing industry.
After an absence of 10 years the great taste of Wrexham Lager is back.
Local businessmen John Vaughan and Mark Roberts together with their sister Janet Gaffey challenged themselves to revive the original, much loved Wrexham Lager brand. They teamed up with Ian Dale, former brewing manager at Wrexham Lager, to set up a new micro-brewery in the heart of Wrexham. The contract to produce the new Wrexham brewing facility was awarded to Kaspar Schulz of Bamberg in Germany. The Roberts family hired John Bowler, a renowned brewery engineer to set the specification required by Ian to brew Wrexham Lager once again.
